Summary
Today, the seven major Cartels are:
Beltran Leyva, Gulf, Juarez, La Familia Michoacana, Los Zetas, Sinaloa and Tijuana/Arellano Felix
Annually, these seven Cartels take in between $19 and $29 billion from U.S. drug sales. Both the U.S. and Mexican Governments are working to try and stop drug trafficking in Mexico itself as well as the United States. These groups take part in their own internal drug wars over routes and territory, forming alliances and battling with each other.
